The Revised Common Lectionary - Daily Readings
This year our community will be continue to follow the Revised Common Lectionary daily scripture readings. Lectionary readings guide and engage us in many ways. The lectionary readings are read by the global church, when we read them we are reading and worshiping with followers of Jesus around the world. Lectionary readings also follow the church calendar. Because the lectionary passages match the church season, we will spend Pentecost pondering the gift of the Holy Spirit, Lent lamenting, and Easter rejoicing in the resurrection. We will also see how Old Testament stories are connected to the Gospels and the Epistles. We look forward to the daily practice of scripture reading as we continue to walk in God's Better Story together.
